Down Ampney Information board

This community project was to provide two parish information boards that would enable visitors to learn about the history of the village of Down Ampney. The village had links to the Knights Templar, it was the birthplace of Ralph Vaughan Williams and it played a significant role in WWII, so there was much to include and to visualise.

For each key landmark, Hup created sketches that could be included on the custom map of the area – numbered and referenced against the photography and content. Many of the landmarks were also photographed by Hup.

Hup created a new parish logo to head the board. This includes reference to the Templars, All Saints Church and the Dakotas from 48 and 271 squadrons.
